Sustainability actions

Sustainability actions: Laufenberg pursues a holistic sustainability strategy. We strive to maintain a meaningful balance between economic development, environmental responsibility and social equity and to promote and implement all three sustainability dimensions in and with our company.

ISO 45001: Occupational health and safety management: Social responsibility

For us, healthy and motivated employees are the key to sustainable economic success. We strive for maximum occupational safety. Suitable tools and methods ensure continuous improvement in safety & health. We also pay attention to occupational safety, working conditions and social justice among our customers and suppliers.

ISO 27001: Information security: Protecting our core processes

Compliance with high standards in terms of information security and data protection is essential for us. Based on our security certifications, we ensure our process security including the IT systems, components and processes involved.

Hygiene concept: Saving resources & avoiding waste

To reduce non-value-adding activities to a minimum, we pursue a comprehensive hygiene concept. This includes direct prevention programs such as Foreign Object Damage, the 5 S method (for optimal workplace design), a double door system, as well as methods for pest control and bacteria measurement.

ISO 9001: Quality management: Sustainable success

In terms of modern quality management, we not only have our own sustainable economic success in mind. Rather, we strive for socially acceptable and environmentally compatible production. To ensure quality, we pursue the zero-defect strategy, which we regard as an ongoing process.

Code of Conduct: Binding adherence to sustainable goals

The Code of Conduct is part of our corporate social responsibility. Among other things, it expresses our voluntary commitment to ecologically, economically and socially sustainable action. Whether in terms of resource-saving behavior, long-term employee retention or generally efficient corporate management to safeguard the future of the company.

ISO 50001: Energy management: Increasing energy efficiency

For us, sustainability in practice means the continuous improvement of energy-related performance, i.e. increasing energy efficiency and reducing energy consumption. Various energy efficiency programs support the energy efficiency measures of our production. We are working to continuously increase the share of renewable energies.

ISO 14001: Environmental management & EMAS system: Reduction of negative environmental impacts

Following the principles of sustainable development, environmental protection is an essential part of our corporate policy. Our environmental protection goals include the improvement of energy and material efficiency, the elimination of environmentally harmful raw materials and manufacturing processes, the reduction of environmentally harmful auxiliary materials, and the credo “waste avoidance before recycling”.

FSC Certification: Sustainable & socially responsible Forest Management

For the future of our forests: We use certified papers that are tested according to the strictest standards.
