Various combinations of polyester film and different papers are possible with our composite materials.
Composite materials with PET at the core:
These laminates consist of a PETP film core with a paper layer on both sides. The PET film gives the bond the necessary strength and protects the liner from soaking through when the adhesive is very wet. The paper supports give the laminate the appearance and drying properties of a paper. The paper backing can absorb moisture from the adhesive and slowly release it to the outside. Combinations of different paper types with different PETP film thicknesses are possible.
Composite materials with PET in the outer layers:
This composite is a further development of our double-sided PE-coated paper. It is characterized by good dimensional stability, very good flatness properties and high moisture stability. Due to the hard PETP coating, the material also has very good punchability. Compared to the PE-film-coated paper, the composite has very good adhesion even in the presence of solvents such as toluene and is significantly more temperature-resistant. This means that higher dryer temperatures can be achieved than with materials coated with PE on both sides. Depending on the thickness of the PET layer, a very high tear resistance can also be achieved.
