Continuous growth: A new raw materials hall is currently being built on the site of the former Plant 1. The new building is scheduled to go into operation in the second quarter of 2023.
Since the former Laufenberg KG moved from Straelen to Krefeld Hüls in 1956, additional plots of land have been continuously acquired, new plants, equipment and raw material halls built and existing buildings extended. A state-of-the-art plant was gradually built on the now approx. 38,000 square meter site. And the structural development continues.
The demolition of the old buildings and the preparatory ground work have already been completed. The foundations for the new hall are currently being laid. The actual hall construction will begin in November 2022.
With the new hall, we are creating capacity for our paper warehouse on an area of over 2000 square meters. The rolls will be transported to adjacent plants for further processing via a new bridge with an integrated elevator.
