The Success Story of Laufenberg GmbH

Laufenberg GmbH was founded in 1947 as the family business “Bernhard Laufenberg” for the production of roofing felt in Straelen. Just seven years later, the company relocated to Hüls, where it soon specialized in the production of siliconized release liners. These are now indispensable in numerous industries.

Since then, Laufenberg has continuously developed and has become a recognized provider of customized solutions based on siliconized films and papers, as well as specialty products on the international market.

In 2021, the British company Cotek Papers Limited, with around 50 employees, was integrated into the group. Around 260 people work at the German site. A total of around 310 colleagues work at both locations in production, development, and administration.
