The PE coating primarily protects the paper from moisture. In order to achieve the highest possible dimensional stability, the material is extruded on both sides. In addition, the carrier can be given a defined surface texture by PE filming. In combination with the use of special carrier papers, the mechanical and optical properties can be further optimized.
