Cotek, based in the Cotswolds, is proud to be one of them and to celebrate this extraordinary achievement.<br \/>\nAs the UK\u2019s leading producer of double-sided and differential release liners, Cotek looks back on six decades of technical innovation. Founded in the 1960s by Stuart Hazel, who pioneered silicone-coated materials, Cotek quickly established itself as a market leader.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Key milestones in our journey:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>1980:<\/strong> Introduced solvent-based silicone release liners \u2013 setting a new industry standard.<\/li>\n<li><strong>1990:<\/strong> Became the first UK company to use solvent-free silicone coating.<\/li>\n<li><strong>1999:<\/strong> Pioneered double-sided silicone coatings applied in a single operation \u2013 still unique in the UK today.<\/li>\n<li><strong>2002:<\/strong> Developed radical-curing UV silicone coatings and expanded into the pure film coating market.<\/li>\n<li><strong>2021:<\/strong> A new chapter began with Laufenberg GmbH acquiring Cotek, bringing greater technical expertise and global reach.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cOur business values are perfectly aligned.
