Our newly developed silicone flat gasket with a PET core was developed especially for usage in PEM fuel cells. As an important component of the fuel cell, the product is used both for seal the cells between the membrane and the bipolar plate, as well as to seal the water cooling during stack assembly.
Compared to other silicone flat gaskets available on the market, our material is outstanding due to its dimensional stability and the optimal positionability during stack assembly.
In addition, the roughness of the surface is very low due to our manufacturing process. Due to the very flat surface profile, the material keeps the cell gas and water tight already even with a low compession of the complete cell. Additional adhesives for the positioning of the gasket can be avoided due tot this propertiy.
Our gaskets have been developed over many years of cooperation with research institutes and customers in order to be able to offer high-quality gaskets efficiently and economically in the long term for the growing fuel cell market.
The material can be produced for almost any thickness requirement. Currently, thicknesses from 200 – 700 µm are commercially available. A low thickness tolerance of a few µm can be achieved during production.
We produce our product generally in roll form for your serial production. On request, we can also offer the material as formats.
Further converting is basically possible with laser or waterjet as well as with commercially available die-cutting knives.
Our silicone gasket with PET core is available in different thicknesses. The product is available as a single-sided or double-sided coated version.
Depending on your cell-design, the suitable coating thickness can be adjusteto within a few µm deviation as required. Our composite material offers the following properties:
For test purposes we offer DIN-A4 samples of our standard layer thicknesses. Based on your request, we also offer test productions for a minimum of one square meter at a charge.
